Matte BOPP
The surface layer of matte BOPP is designed to be the matte (coarsening) one, which makes the appearance paper-like and feel comfortable. Normally the matte surface layer is not used for heat sealing. With matte layer, matte BOPP has the following characteristics compared with general BOPP: Matt surface layer could play the role of shading, the surface glossiness is greatly reduced; If necessary, it could also act as a heat-sealing surface; matte surface layer has good smooth performance, due to the surface coarsening with anti-adhesive, film roll is not easy to bond. Matte film’s tensile strength performance and thermal stability performance are not as good as that of general film. Physical and mechanical properties of matte BOPP as required by an enterprise standard are listed in Table 2-2.
